Çekevi (Beykoz Kundura Hotel)
Çekevi is a space open only to film and TV production crews. It is also perfect for anyone who wants to enjoy its historic character in a peaceful atmosphere.
The Çekevi building first appears on site plans and maps from the 1950s. At different times it served as the Chemistry Lab (Kimyahane) and the Operations Office. According to oral history accounts, the architects and engineers who came from Czechoslovakia in 1958 to overhaul the factory built the distinctive roof the building still has today and stayed here during the overhaul. This is why the building came to be known within the factory as Çekevi, the “Czech House.” Today Çekevi offers two meeting rooms and four suites decorated in different themes (the Western, North Africa, Hollywood and Fairy Tale Rooms).
