At Beykoz Kundura, we approach environmental and social sustainability with the same holistic sense of responsibility that guides our preservation of cultural heritage. In all our activities, from production to consumption and from collaborations to spatial arrangements, we embrace an approach that values the efficient use of natural resources, social equality and local development. 

 We Support Local Production and Natural Resources 

Organic waste generated on our campus is repurposed through our composting system. This system allows us both to produce food for street animals and to create natural resources that can be used as fertilizer in our gardens. In addition, seasonal vegetables grown in the vegetable garden on our campus, along with milk and eggs from our own animals, are used in our kitchens. In our food supply processes, we value working with local producers from all over Türkiye and the partnerships we have built with independent local businesses in Beykoz. 

We Value Energy Efficiency 

As part of our commitment to energy efficiency, LED systems are used for all exterior lighting, and practices aimed at reducing the use of natural resources are being expanded. We also promote environmentally friendly practices in our accommodation services through our sustainability-certified Çek Evi Hotel. 

We Prioritize Accessibility and Participation 

In the restoration of our repurposed spaces, we contribute to physical accessibility by creating wheelchair-accessible areas. At certain times of the year, we organize guided exhibition tours especially for our hearing-impaired visitors at the Kundura Hafıza Archive and Research exhibition. 

We Embrace Gender Equality and Fair Working Conditions 

At Beykoz Kundura, women make up the majority of our workforce, and this balance strengthens the egalitarian approach of our corporate culture. We regard gender equality as a fundamental principle and treat all employees, whether women or men, according to the principles of equal pay for equal work, equal benefits and equal treatment. A fair and transparent policy is followed in all operational processes, including overtime practices when needed, ensuring that our employees benefit equally from in-house rights.
