Yarın Belki de is not a play with a classical structure; instead of characters and a plot, it is a show in which two people give a live performance on stage. It is an adaptation, for today and for today’s Türkiye, of Tomorrow’s Parties by Forced Entertainment, one of the most important companies in contemporary theater and recognized as a pioneer of the devising method.
On a simple stage framed by colorful fairground lights, two people trade words, bouncing around ideas about the possibilities of the future while offering a critical, ironic and smile-inducing perspective on the times we live in. Guided by performers who move from speculations that reveal today’s hopes and fears about what the future may bring to utopian and dystopian fortune-telling, science fiction scenarios, political nightmares and absurd fantasies, Yarın Belki de makes the audience curious, makes them laugh, excites them and makes them think… The play offers an entertaining, touching and at times wild look at possible and impossible futures.
