The workshop will begin by examining the punch clock (Jsgus Mayer) that workers at the Sümerbank Factory used when entering and leaving the factory, featured in the exhibition Kundura’s Memory: A World Fit into a Factory. It will continue with a discussion of the systems workers use today when entering and leaving factories/workplaces.
Using Lego Education’s Spike Essential set, children will build a factory entrance and a card-access system. They will code the model they build using color sensor, light matrix, sound, display and bar graph coding blocks.
No prior coding knowledge is required. The workshop aims to introduce children to robotics and coding through an everyday real-life problem.
