Approaching the body as a vehicle for conveying, carrying and transmitting time, Tuğçe Ulugün Tuna focuses through the body on journeys, quests and the fine bridge between the real and the surreal. Emerging from a dream the artist had, “REVERT: Time Transcended” takes its starting point from the word ‘revert’, which carries the meanings “to shed what has been added and return to the original structure, to the primal and the root,” and was created with a holistic approach during the pandemic.

Through a body poised between past and future, the performance creates a new language and attitude of movement on a journey toward the unknown, carrying into the present moment the knowledge, experience and impulse of the whole across every layer of consciousness.

Choreographed by dancer, choreographer and academic Tuğçe Ulugün Tuna specifically for Kundura Sahne and its space, the work is an interdisciplinary dance performance focusing on the primitiveness, intelligence and timelessness of the human body.
