Vampyr

Vampyr is a mockumentary that follows the traces of beings that reject the sharp divide between nature and culture and resist changing form. Half dead, half animal, half human, half earth… These ambiguous beings, which defy definition, roam the wind turbine farms built without oversight in Chile, appearing sometimes as disoriented bats and sometimes as workers exhausted from the night shift.

Offering a narrative steeped in black humor about exhaustion and energy, work and rest, Vampyr invites us to question our relationships with non-human beings and our energy policies for the future.

After “How to Become Stone,” which we staged in 2022 to great acclaim, Manuela Infante returns to Istanbul three years later on June 27 and 28 with the documentary-theater piece “Vampyr,” of which Beykoz Kundura is an international co-producer!

The play is performed in Spanish with Turkish and English surtitles.

The play is performed in Spanish with Turkish surtitles.

The event is suitable for participants aged 12 and over.

 

Doors open at 16.30, and the event begins at 17.00.

 

Audience members will not be admitted to the hall once the event has started.

 

Recording with any recording device such as a camera, photo camera or mobile phone during the performance is prohibited.

 

Beykoz Kundura will make audio and video recordings throughout the event, and the recorded footage will be published solely for promotional purposes on Beykoz Kundura’s website and social media accounts. Beykoz Kundura will use the event recordings only for promotional purposes and may share these recordings with the event’s artist.

By presenting your ticket, you may enter Beykoz Kundura 2 hours before the performance, enjoy our food and drink areas, and visit the Kundura’s Memory: A World Fit into a Factory exhibition with a free reservation.

Please note that your event ticket/reservation does not grant access to the film studios located within Beykoz Kundura, and we kindly ask that you do not leave the designated area.

Photography with a professional camera is not permitted without written permission. We kindly ask that you hand over your recording devices at the security point at the Beykoz Kundura entrance.
