Müşterek Taksim Concert Series

31 Ocak – 23 Mayıs 2026

Müşterek Taksim is a concert series that aims to reinterpret the deep-rooted heritage of classical Turkish music through today’s aesthetic and creative sensibilities. On this journey from past to present, musicians from different generations come together to recreate the traditional on a shared stage.

Bringing the traces of the past together with the sound of today, it builds a musical language created together and invites its audience on a contemporary journey within cultural continuity. We are excited to offer audiences an in-depth, holistic and collective musical experience with Müşterek Taksim, within Beykoz Kundura’s perspective of stage and memory.

Müşterek Taksim Concert Series – Meshk Quartet

What happens when the thousand-year-old melodies of the ancient lands of Anatolia meet the sophisticated harmonies and improvisational passion of modern jazz? Meshk Quartet brings the answer to this question to the stage.

Created by Altuğ Öncü, Meshk Quartet blends the melancholic sound of the oud with the energy of the drums, the steady walk of the bass guitar and the rich harmonies of the piano.

Rather than copying traditional forms, the project aims to create an entirely new musical language by using them as sources of inspiration. The repertoire features original compositions built on makam structures. Each performance is a one-of-a-kind musical dialogue shaped by the musicians’ energy in the moment.

Doors Open - 20:00
