KUNDURA CINEMA PRESENTS: SPECIAL SCREENING OF “GILDA” AND ANIMATED IMAGES WORKSHOP FOR KIDS
Kundura Cinema lovers will continue to make the most of spring with a unique cinema experience by the Bosphorus in April. The new shuttle service from Taksim to Kundura makes it even easier to reach the cinema. Ferry service is still available for those who want to start the journey with a short Bosphorus cruise.
Special Screening: “GILDA” - April 26th 2019, 21.00
Charles Vidor’s 1946 produced Gilda,the most iconic film noirs ever, tells the story of Gilda who is married to a wealthy club owner in Buenos Aires. Rita Hayworth’s memorable performance as a woman trapped in a love triangle will be screened at Kundura Cinema. The screening will be held with complimentary drinks and nibbles. Kids Special in Spring: “Animated Images” Workshop and Cartoon Screenings - April 27th 2019, 14.30
Kundura Cinema invites kids aged between 7-10 to an entertaining and educating workshop designed by Museum Educator and writer Hüsne Rhea Çiğdem. From the creation of the cinema with Lumiere Brothers to the first ever screened cartoon “Fantasmagorie”, the workshop will focus on the cinema history. Kids will have a chance to create their own thaumatropes.
After the workshop selected cartoons from the Lobster Film catalogue will be screened. Parents are also welcomed to the cartoon screenings. Kundura Cinema will close the Kundura Coast to the traffic for this event and encourages visitors to bring their bikes and enjoy the beautiful spring.
